International furniture specialist, The Furniture Practice (TFP) has acquired the Bermondsey based furniture consultants Operandum in a deal that will see its senior partners Martin Stocks and Nick Mann join TFP’s leadership team.
The acquisition of Operandum is considered an extremely good fit for TFP as it continues to expand its national and international reach and significantly increases the depth and breadth of its procurement and consultancy offers.
TFP Chairman Ken Kelly explained: “There is real synergy in Operandum’s team joining TFP. The experience we both have as independent organisations delivering large, complex projects; our shared and unrelenting focus on client value; and the opportunity to combine Operandum’s proven and unique consultancy IP with TFP’s already formidable international buying power, is good news for clients and our global supply chain.”
Senior Partner, Martin Stocks, who co-founded Operandum, will join TFP as Sales Director. Nick Mann will join the team as Associate Director and Nick Lyons will head up operations in Scotland as TFP’s Head of Scotland.
Speaking of the acquisition, Martin Stocks said: “We are delighted to have completed the sale to TFP. Both Nick and I have known Ken for many years and it’s great to have the opportunity to bring our experience and knowledge back together at TFP. In addition to the senior management appointments, all of Operandum’s staff will be joining TFP in roles that will shortly be announced.
